Few moments in history capture
the imagination as much as the Somme, the battle which changed
British thinking both at home and at the front. This years
tour covers from the events of the fateful first day through
to the last shots of the autumn. We traverse the now tranquil
fields of Picardy as we chart both the learning curve of
the tacticians and the experiences of the troops involved.
Expect each of the five walks to take around 3 hours as we
traverse the ground recounting anecdotes and tales that thrilled
an empire.
